The STX K18 U was originally designed with Kyle Harrison, who is a midfielder. We like the K18 U for midfielders as well as defenders. This head is a great mid-level head for a youth player. It is stiffer than most heads in the game and can take a good beating. The design of the head is right on spot for modern players. On the throat you will find a ‘metallic’ piece that states the name. The scoop is very good for ground balls. The pocket we like best in this head is a mid-low hard mesh, which is what we used. Little whip and great hold will make this a good choice for d poles and midfielders.
